Last week we had the super pleasure of arranging flowers for an event in Carmel...actually two different events--a rehearsal dinner and flowers for a wedding ceremony that took place at the old Carmel Mission. A big theme of the wedding was olive trees, so lots of big branches were needed. The mother of the groom, our dear customer, just happens to have a ranch nearby where they are getting ready to build a new home, and she planted thirty, 125 year-old olive trees. Darwin met her at the ranch early Tuesday morning and helped Juan, the gardener, prune branches from these amazing trees.
On Thursday morning, all the arrangements we did were picked up and transported to Carmel in a trailer attached to a pickup truck (wish I had a photo of that!). The bouquets were done in beautiful mossy pots by Campo de Fiori...But before showing these, I wanted to share the wonderful photos Darwin took at the ranch. It's about 20 minutes from us at the top of Happy Valley Rd. in Lafayette, surrounded by Briones Regional Park. Truly stunning!
welcome to the ranch
a peek into the veggie garden...
and now for the flowers (and olive branches)...
this is a small section of the two huge bouquets we did for the church
Thank you T for sharing your beauty.
Both the olive trees and the arrangements are gorgeous!
