Tranquility and Light

 

In 2012, David Austin introduced a new English Musk rose to the world whose name was "100% inspired by the rose itself". It didn't take local growers and flower market vendors long to pick it up, and we now have it saved for us weekly at the market, by one of our favorite vendors. Besides having a beautiful face, form, and fragrance, Tranquility has the amazing quality of endurance.

And now a little note about light. As any florist will know, wedding day does not often provide opportunities for taking photos before the flowers leave the shop. But we took a moment, and placed the bride's bouquet near the front of the store where natural light streams in through the large front window. The first photo is where the window's light plays on the front and the second where the light comes from behind.

 

Tranquility was joined by ranunculus and dahlias from Half Moon Bay, and clematis from Chalk Hill in Healdsburg – all wrapped up in hand-dyed silk ribbon.

 

 

Auberge Du Soleil | Rehearsal Dinner

This rehearsal dinner was a dreamy one to be a part of with Enjoy Events Co.  We alwasy love incorporating fruits with flowers, such as the grapes, quince and persimmons, perfect for a wine country evening.  We hope you love this beautiful event as much as we did.  Thanks to Sarah and William for having us!

spring wedding - Marin Headlands Center for the Arts

 

We loved working in this historic center, moments from the Pacific Ocean with a very special bride and groom, Barbara and Grant. The flower story was told with white peonies, English roses, sweet peas, bearded iris, clematis and other treasures forraged from local gardens - all contained in a variety of rustic pots. The careful planning of Your Event by Erin made the day wonderful and seamless. Until we can share the photos from Dylan John Western, here are a few of our own.
